Frequently asked questions about our science shows:
Do you have insurance? Yes! We have £2million public liability insurance and £1million professional indemnity insurance. If requested we can also provide our risk assessment for all of the activities that we run.
How many shows can you present in a day? We can present one of our shows up to three times in a day. You just need to allow 20 minutes between shows for us to reset everything.
What type of venue do you need? We're very flexible when it comes to venues and have worked in offices, classrooms, sports halls, theatres and marquees. Some of our events (such as the bubble show) are best done indoors. You should also advise us about any smoke/fire detectors within the building as some of our demonstrations do create heat and smoke. We'll try and work in any space you have - just don't forget the comfort of your audience.
Do you bring your own equipment? We try and bring everything we need ourselves. You just need to provide us with four large tables, access to water and power, and a car parking space. Sometimes we may ask you to provide a PA system if the event space is large or has a big audience (anything over 150 people).
How many people can attend your science shows? We can present to any number of people, from 10 to 500+. You may need to consider that some of the experiments that we do could be hard to see if you're sat right at the back of a large venue (we can advise on what is or isn't suitable).
Can you provide any references for your services? Yes, we can provide references on request or why not visit our testimonials pages to see what people think of us.
How much do you charge? Our costs vary depending on where you are and how many shows you want us to present, which is why we provide you with a written quotation that breaks down our fee and expenses (e.g. for travel). Rest assured that we're very good value for money and can offer discounts for multiple bookings.
Will you visit us? We're based in Suffolk and work all over the UK. However, we are unlikely to visit you for just a day if you are based in somewhere like Inverness or Plymouth, it would just take us too long to get to you. But, we'd be happy to attend week long festivals or tour that area for a week if you can guarantee us a five day block booking. Either way, drop us a line to confirm whether we are available or not.
Anything else I should know? Yes - but don't worry because we'll explain everything to you prior to any booking being confirmed in writing. No booking is confirmed until you have written to us stating that you agree to our quote and our terms and conditions.
I have more questions If you need to know more just get in touch, we're happy to discuss our services, the projects that we've worked on and also your own requirements.
